Cleary Awards Scholarships to Rutgers Students

At the Seventeenth Annual Rutgers Turf Awards Banquet on November 4, 2006, Cleary Chemical Corporation will award one thousand dollar scholarships to two second-year students in the Rutgers Professional Golf Turf Management School (RPGTMS). The Turf Awards Banquet serves as an event to recognize scholarship winners from the two-year, four-year and graduate programs in turf at Rutgers. It also serves as the graduation ceremony for the graduates of the RPGTMS.

Mr. Steven Tomlinson of Sagamore Beach, Massachusetts is the 2006 recipient of the Dr. Paul Sartoretto Memorial Scholarship. Dr. Paul, as he was known, was a leader in the field of turf disease management. This scholarship was created to honor Dr. Paul’s memory and recognize the academic achievement of a second-year student in the RPGTMS.

Mr. Brian Holz of Black Creek, Wisconsin is this year’s recipient of the Cleary Chemical Corporation Academic Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to recognize a second-year student in the RPGTMS for academic excellence.

Mr. Sean Hoolehan, current president of GCSAA and Rutgers alumnus, will be attending the Turf Award Banquet this year as the keynote speaker.
